Join residents of Junortoun and friends of JCAG in a day trip to Crosbie Nature Reserve.
Crosbie Nature Conservation Reserve is a bushland site located near Toolleen. It is a classic example of central-Victorian box-ironbark forest, and the wildflowers at the site are likely to be on full display.
Adjacent to the reserve is a rehabilitation and revegetation site owned by the City of Greater Bendigo. The day trip will explore the site and we will hear from professional foresters and ecologists about how they are rehabilitating the site, and the challenges and success they have had with tree planting.
Following the field trip we will head to the Toolleen Pub for lunch (at your own expense).
JCAG is organising a bus to take Junortoun residents and guests on this day trip. This will include pickups from Bendigo Domain Village (9:30am) and from Bendigo Baptist Church (9:45am). With a return between 3:00-3:30pm.
COSTS: The bus trip is free, thanks to a grant from the City of Greater Bendigo. Lunch at the Toolleen Hotel is at your own expense.
