Community input session – Greater Bendigo Public Space Plan and Greening Greater Bendigo Strategy

All Junortoun residents and interested people are invited to a community input meeting to discuss City of Greater Bendigo strategies relating to public space. This public meeting will be held in conjunction with the monthly JCAG committee meeting.

Why you should attend:

The City of Greater Bendigo has requested to meet with the Junortoun Community Action Group and members of the local community for community input into two strategic planning projects:

  1. Greater Bendigo Public Space Plan
  2. Greening Greater Bendigo

(Click links for more information from the COGB website)

Mark Stubbs from the City’s Regional Sustainable Development team and Tania Macleod from the City’s Parks and Open Space team will be attending from the City of Greater Bendigo. The presentation and discussion will take about 45-60 minutes.

Greater Bendigo Public Space Plan – a plan for the future of the city’s public spaces

Discussion will focus on going over the actions in the relevant Precinct Plan for your area (see Parts 4-5 at above link) and seeking input on the relative priority of these actions.

Greening Greater Bendigo – a strategy being developed to increase tree cover across our urban areas and townships

Discussion will include an update on current community engagement activities and how this information will help shape the strategy, the action plan and subsequent precinct plans.

Time: 7:00pm (for about an hour)
The monthly JCAG committee meeting will be held immediately following the discussion.
