The Junortoun Community Action Group has commissioned a Weed Management Plan for Honeyeater Bushland Reserve. We will be launching the plan at the reserve this Monday, 17 March from 5:30pm.

We are very proud of our community managed reserve, and managing established and new weeds is an important task at the Reserve.

We have been fortunate to obtain funding support from the Victorian Government’s Victorian Landcare Grants 2024 to produce the plan.

At the launch we will be able to hear directly from consultant ecologist Karl Just about his discoveries when surveying the reserve for weeds.
Karl will outline his recommended approaches and priorities for tackling identified weeds, and to prevent more weeds from becoming established.

The weather looks to be tolerable, about 20°C. We will have some light refreshments to share during or after the conversation. 

Please bring a folding chair. Invite your neighbours, friends or anyone interested in the conservation of our reserve.
